Challenger Aerospace has immediate openings for Senior Engineer, Systems Engineer Specialist, & Mechanical Assembler:
Focus in the areas of electronic and mechanical controls as well as system architecture, safety analysis, redundancy management, integration and test to support new development programs. Technical areas of primary interest include system design, requirements development and management, integration, and evaluation of flight control systems including associated actuation, hydraulic, electrical and mechanical control components. Work in these areas provides an opportunity to not only participate in designing state-of-the-art UAV’s and control systems, but also the exposure to a highly integrated flight test team.
Liaison Engineer serves as the interface between Engineering and Manufacturing, determine engineering MRB disposition of non-conforming parts, develop standard repairs and recommend process improvements in the processes. Position requires 4-7 years’ experience in assembly manufacturing/flight test environment with knowledge of aircraft assembly and structures, composite materials, mechanical/hydraulic installation, and or helicopter/tilt rotor flight test support.
System Engineer Specialist
Position requires a minimum 10 years’ experience in the design, development and testing of aerospace/ defense systems, support of the definition and tracing of all of the design requirements development and management, risk management, trade study support, baseline management, proposal and baseline management configuration change management, and design review support, product engineering team support from new aircraft development through the resolution of production and fielded aircraft issues.
Preferred 4 years’ aircraft experience working with composite and or sheet metal materials, civilian or military equivalent standard aircraft practice or a combination of experience and formal aviation training, perform a variety of production and experimental/modification assembly operations on all parts of the aircraft, make necessary layout, fabrications and fits component parts, installs, fits and adjusts all types and assemblies where necessary.
Position requires 3 years’ experience as an Composite Technician will accomplish detail part fabrication using pre-preg fabric and using lay-up techniques per Aurora standards. The level of work performed is simple to moderately complex. Candidate must be willing and capable to review production and process documentation, production scheduling and planning, and assist in expediting the flow of materials and parts. Specific Responsibilities: • Use of manual and small power tools to shape and form simple and complex mock-up components. • Handling, mixing and applying of various resin/catalyst materials • Paperwork processes that follow each procedure • Keep a clean work area and in proper working order. • Participate in projects developing process improvement methods, solutions and may be required to enhance program quality, cost and scheduling. • Perform other duties as assigned and may be required to cross train to additional work centers and skill sets.
